Lot’s going on this weekend. Thank you all for being here.

A few updates from around the city…

  • Zoning laws are quietly shaping the future of farming in Marion County—and small, local family farms are feeling the impact. Join us for a live (virtual) podcast on Monday with County Commissioner Danielle Bethell and third-generation farmer Brian Zielinski as we unpack what these rules really mean for our land and our community. Click here to register for free.

  • Margarita Factory announced TODAY that they are opening a location in Keizer. The plan is to open early October and they’ll be moving into the Brix Tavern location.

  • Flor Fe Cafe opened in North Salem. They really did their thing with the decorations. Expect to see videos and photos all over your timeline in the coming months…

  • Salem City Council approved plans for a mental health crisis response team - Starting January 2026, trained mental health professionals and paramedics will respond to crises in unmarked vehicles instead of police cars

  • New homeless services expansion moving forward - Council supports growing the homeless services team from 2 to 4 officers to provide 7-day coverage focused on building trust and connecting people to voluntary services

🏆 South Salem & Sprague All-Stars Dominate Regionals After Oregon Title Win!

The dream is alive and burning brighter than ever! The 2025 50/70 All-Star Team, a powerhouse lineup of top players from South Salem and Sprague Little Leagues, stormed through the Oregon State Championship undefeated (3-0) and are now tearing it up at the Western Regional Tournament in Nogales, Arizona.

Last week, they shut out Arizona 7–0, with their ace pitcher nearly throwing a complete game shutout! He hit his pitch count with just one out left. It was a clinic on the mound and at the plate. This win marks the best performance from a District 7 team at Regionals in any division in years!

These Salem stars aren’t just chasing a title — they’re chasing history. One more tournament, and it’s off to the Little League World Series.

How to Help:

The team is raising funds for travel and tournament expenses. Click here to donate or email [email protected] for details.
